Motorola was an American Brand started on September 25, 1928. Motorola devices are loved by people in 90’s. Later with the massive growth of Nokia devices, people forgot about Motorola. But Motorola continued launching its devices even though people never care about them. Motorola had lost around Four-Billion Dollars [$4 Billion] from 2007 to 2009. After 2009 Motorola started surviving, After HTC Hero, Motorola Droid is the first clicked Android Smartphone which is powered by Android 2.0 Eclair. Forget about Xiaomi, Lenovo, OnePlus here. Motorola is the only brand survived from the beginning of Android Era. You may think about HTC, but we won’t consider HTC anymore. The first Android-Powered Smartphone in India is by Motorola Mobility India, which was launched in the month of January 2011. The name of the device is Milestone XT800. After a great success with their smartphone Moto G, Moto Launched their budget Android device Moto E in the Month of May 2014. Moto E series though, Not always cheap. Cheap in the sense, Not that economically priced, still they are Budget friendly!

So, recently Lenovo launched their Budget friendly Moto Device. Yes, I am talking about Moto C Plus. C-series, well it’s new series of smartphones from Lenovo! Well, we cannot say much about this series until few more devices get launch in C- Series.

Moto C is company’s new entry targetted to hit Budget smartphone buyers. This is one of the most aggressively priced devices from Lenovo with fairly decent specs and a massive battery. Well, you may think 4000mAh? Really great? As most of the devices come with the same battery within the same price! But the thing is, This device has the support of rapid charging! Charging a device with 4000mAh battery generally, takes A Good two and half hours to charge it completely…but whereas this Moto C Plus can charge up within

First things first, The device from the front look too Chinese. Chinese in the sense, the design which we can find on Karbonn and Celkon devices basically! Well, this is just my personal impression, your impression may vary though. Back though, looks kind of Awkward. The Camera setup looks like Dual-Camera setup, as the flash is located just under the camera in the same organization. Cheats eyes from far! Everything is plasticky and Moto dimple is still there. The speaker is located at the back! Feels hefty in the hand!

To the front, it has got earpiece, 2MP Secondary Camera with a flash and Moto Branding. Under that, we can find 5-inch IPS LCD panel and capacitive keys. To the back, We can find 8MP Primary Camera with F2.2 aperture and another flash is here with a rear loudspeaker! The Back is removable By the Way as the battery is user replaceable. Unlike other devices at this price point, there is a chance of using both sims and microSD together. The Volume buttons and power key could be found towards the right and on top, we can find 3.5mm headphone jack and Micro-USB port, at the bottom there is one microphone, nothing else towards left though!

Coming to the display, its 720p panel with a resolution of 720×1280. The colors are natural and accurate. The viewing angles are good, the display doesn’t feel cheap. The display feels overlighted during nights, As the least possible Brightness is also very heavy though. With direct sunlight on screen, pretty much everything is visible. This is one of the rear devices from Moto which is released with hardware keys unlike other devices from the same brand! The bezels are too thick than required, feels like an Old School Guy!

As it is a device from Moto, no need to worry in Software perspective terms. No Bloat can be found, No useless trash as it is a completely Stock-ish Android experience. It is running on Android 7.0 Nougat. Security patches will be provided at regular intervals. All the important apps from Moto are not missing here, The regular Moto Camera and other apps are preloaded as usual!

Coming to everyone’s favorite aspect, The Camera’s! The rear camera is An 8MP shooter. The Front Facing camera is of 2MP. In outdoor the 8MP rear camera performs better, in natural lighting. Great level of detail and Dynamic Range is pretty decent! In Indoor lighting or Artificial lighting’s, things started messing up! Noise is brighter than the subject. Well, As a budget device it performed well. Coming to the front-facing selfie camera, it performed badly. As it is the 2MP camera, it’s OK for Basic shots but… Well, in over lighting, backgrounds are blown-out! In indoors, in artificial lighting cameras perform well! Not the best, Actually. In low light, forget about that! The video recording from the rear-camera support up to 720p. Focus takes more time than expected, with a weird transition which can be definitely identified.

The Moto C Plus is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. MediaTek 6737 is 64-bit ARM-based SoC. It is manufactured in the 28nm manufacturing process and consists of four CPU cores based on 64-bit Cortex-A53 architecture clocked up to 1.3GHz each. Most games can play at acceptable Frame-Rates on medium resolutions and quality. Most of the high Graphic games can be run on this device, but it tends to heat up if extended. There are minor frame drops in Asphalt 8 and Modern Combat 5. NOVA 3 has plenty of Frame-Drops and gives FC most of the times.

With heavy usages, like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and YouTube and few minutes of gaming it can easily get around 6-7 Hours of Screen On Time and with moderate usage, you can get up to 9 hours of screen on time. The battery on this device is excellent. Even if you watch 5 movies continuously around 20% of juice will be left!

With that being said, Overall this device is a Great device. If you are a heavy gamer, it doesn’t work for you. If you are a social freak! Well, this one is for you. There are better alternatives for this device, but considering this one is not bad.

Micromax Evok Power 4G – Best 4G VoLTE mobile under 7000

Micromax has recently released its new best 4g phones under 7000 rupees budget range. It is another latest offering from the brand after a long break of manufacturing new smartphones. It comes in a unique design differing from its competitors. It also has a nice and responsive fingerprint sensor at the back.

This device boasts a 5-inch high-definition display which comes with a pixel resolution of 1280×720 pixels with the pixel density being 294 pixels per inch. At the core, there is a 1.3Ghz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage.

Although the RAM is a bit less, it won’t disappoint you in terms of performance. The MediaTek chipset also performs quite decent but not as good as a Snapdragon processor. The graphics are rendered with the help of Mali-T720 MP1 graphics processor which runs at a speed of 450Mhz. The device is powered up by a massive 4000 mAh battery.

This device supports 4G VoLTE and comes with dual-sim support with a hybrid sim slot. Nowadays 4G and VoLTE supported mobiles in India have higher demand than non-4G devices. All thanks to Ambani sir and his JIO venture. Anyways, this phone sports an 8-megapixel primary camera with features like multi-shot and night mode. At the front end, there is a 5MP front-facing camera for your selfies. Also, just under the 8MP camera at the back, there is a fingerprint sensor which is quite responsive.

Motorola Moto E3 Power – Great battery, build and camera

First things First, The design of this device feels much familiar. I won’t say it will exactly look, but it feels like Moto G3 From the Front, and coming to sides and back it’s identically similar to Moto G4. The battery is a user replaceable one, unlike other devices. You can use two Sim-Cards and a MicroSD at a time. Thanks for not going with Hybrid-Slots. Build Quality is pretty solid and Back side is completely made with plastic. The Front facing speaker delivers Top-Notch sound output. Really loved it! Expand Review

Motorola was an American Brand started on September 25, 1928. Motorola devices are loved by people in 90’s. Later with the massive growth of Nokia devices, people forgot about Motorola. After a great success with their smartphone Moto G, Moto Launched their budget Android device Moto E in the Month of May 2014.

So coming to E-series from Moto, they are very aggressively priced in India. Lakhs of people used Moto-E. Still, we can see people using their old Moto E series devices, As the Moto Brand never compromises on quality. Even after everything is going better…Lenovo– A well-known Chinese Brand bought Motorola in the month of October 2014.

After Lenovo owning Moto, it took wraps off its new E-Series smartphone, The Moto E3 Power. Moto E3 Power is the first smartphone in E-Series to launch with MediaTek Chipset underneath. It packs with MediaTek 6735P chipset. It is a Quad-Core processor clocked at 1GHz and with the Mali T-720 GPU. Will explain much about this chipset in further parts of the Review.

Firstly let’s talk about the display. This 720p display feels like, well As usual 720p display. Nothing much to say about the display, It is LCD display which we can see in Budget smartphones. This is the biggest display, on Moto E-Series devices. All the viewing angles are good. Colors are natural. The display feels overlighted during nights, As the least possible Brightness is also very heavy though. With direct sunlight on screen, pretty much everything is visible. No hardware keys, as it a Moto device. Stock-ish Android Interface Overall.

As it is Running on Stock Android Marshmallow, No Bloat can be found! Smooth Android Interface overall. It comes with Google Now launcher as default, As it a moto device, Security patches will be given periodically. As it is under Lenovo, Nougat update cannot be promised.

Now let’s talk about cameras. The rear camera is An 8MP shooter with Auto Focus. The Front Facing camera is of 5MP. In outdoor the 8MP rear camera performs better, in natural lighting. Thanks to the Auto Focus, it has done a great job as compared to previous generations of Moto E. In Indoor lighting or Artificial lighting’s, things started messing up! Noise is brighter than the subject. Well, As a budget device it performed well. Coming to the front-facing selfie camera, it performed way better. Well, in over lighting, backgrounds are blown-out! In indoors, in artificial lighting cameras perform well! Not the best, Actually. In low light, forget about that! The video recording from the rear-camera support up to 720p. Focus takes more time that expected, with a weird transition which can be definitely identified.

Coming to gaming, As this smartphone is not that powerful we cannot expect much. As it is powered by 1 GHz Quad-Core processor with MediaTek 6735 along with Mali T-720 GPU. Before Gaming lets talk about CPU, MediaTek MT6735 is a 64-bit ARM-based SoC this is made to power small budget to mainstream Android devices. The Quad-Core is manufactured in 28 nm manufacturing process and it is based on Cortex A-53 architecture. It integrates cat.4 LTE modem with CDMA 2000 and ARM-Mali 720 GPU which is capable of decoding and encoding videos up to 1080p30 FPS. Coming to the Graphics the Integrated single-cored Mali T-720 is an entry level GPU clocked up to 600MHz.

With that being said, Overall this device is a Great device. If you are a heavy gamer, it doesn’t work for you. If you are a social freak! Well, this one is for you. There are better alternatives for this device, but considering this one is not bad. Stock Android+ Good Cameras+ Awesome Build Quality+ Super Speakers+ Best in Class Display+ Mind-Blowing Battery Life. What else can an average customer expect apart from these?

Xiaomi Redmi 4 – Sleek, Stylish and Powerful

That 8-cortex A-53 cores clocked up to 1.4GHz each and coupled with Adreno 505 GPU.  It’s available in flavors of 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB of RAMs and 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of internal storages. It also packed with a 4100mAh battery and given that battery capacity it’s too late at 150 Gram mark. Out-of-Box this Redmi 4 runs on Android 6 Marshmallow on top of MIUI 8.2. Xiaomi promised to provide Nougat Update to this device as Quick as possible. Expand Review

Xiaomi INC is a Chinese brand which is headquartered in Beijing. Xiaomi is World’s 5th largest Smartphone maker.Xiaomi designs develop and sell their smartphones, laptops and other Tech related consumer electronics. Since the release of their first smartphone in August 2011, Xiaomi has gained market share in Mainland China and expanded into developing a wider range of consumer electronics.

The company’s founder and CEO are Lei Jun, He is China’s 23rd richest person According to Forbes. The company sold over 60 million smartphones in 2014. Xiaomi company has over 8,000 employees, mainly in China, Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, and Singapore, and is expanding to other countries as Indonesia, Philippines, South Africa and Brazil.
Coming to India back, Xiaomi was most loved Brand By Indians! Because Indians love Mid-Rangers than of Flagships. As Xiaomi Releases their devices with Massive specs people truly became fans of Redmi Series device. Mi Series in India does not fail though, but they have some lesser sales compared with Redmi series.

As we are discussing Xiaomi devices, it’s really worth talking about its own custom skin on top of Android UI. Unlike other brands, Xiaomi doesn’t compromise on devices User Interface. Xiaomi develops their own Skin which is known as MIUI. While the brands like Lenovo, OnePlus etc, are tweaking and customizing Android’s Stock user interface for their devices… Xiaomi is still following their native UI. And it’s really worth mentioning that Xiaomi’s MIUI is the Top Rated skin in entire Android Platform. MIUI is everyone’s favorite and MIUI-Based custom ROMs were ported to almost all major Android devices.

Well, it’s a Mid-Ranger or A Flagship device, MIUI runs on any Android device with ease. Some of MIUI users say that MIUI is Ram Killing. Yes! It eats or consumes more RAM. As it is a Skin which was built from Dialer App to Developer Options! It means the MIUI skin can be found in All aspects. We cannot feel the Taste of Android at least in one part of MIUI. It was designed in that way!

If you read about Redmi 4 anywhere else forget about that. As this was launched as Redmi 4x in China. The original Redmi 4 is way different from Indian variant. This has happened few times with Xiaomi. For Example, The Redmi Note 4 launched in India was launched in China as Redmi Note 4X. Redmi 4 looks like shrunken down Redmi Note 4, At this price point, That’s not a Bad thing! The only difference we can identify is Camera is moved up, just like Redmi 3s series. With that being said, the fingerprint is also moved a little higher than Note 4. The back resembles its predecessor in most of the aspects! The Battery Backup, Speaker quality, and Cameras are improved a lot!

First things first, let’s talk about design. The Power Buttons and Volume Rockers stayed back to right itself. The primary microphone, speaker and micro-USB port at the bottom. The secondary microphone, The IR Blaster, and the 3.5mm Headphone Jack stayed back on top again. On the left side, here is a tray that can take either 2 sims or 1 Sim and a Micro-SD card. As usual Hybrid slots! To the front, On top, we’ve got Sensors, Earpiece and a 5MP front facing the camera, That’s followed by a IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720p with 294 Pixels-per-inch. Coming to the display, it’s on the warmer side with a lightish red tint going on, which is safer to the eyes. Just like Redmi 3s series devices, the Hardware keys do not have Backlight, Battery Saving! To the back, we’ve got A 13MP shooter with a Flash that’s followed by Regular Xiaomi’s fingerprint scanner and MI Logo resembles to bottom itself. The speaker quality is excellent, with clear Audio. The Audio output via Headphones, My headphones are Audio Technica ATH-S100. With these headphones, I’ve got Best Audio output! The Cellular reception and call Quality is Massive.

Coming to the Camera’s the Redmi 4 has a 13MP shooter to the back with F2.0 Aperture, there is support for Phase-Detection Auto-Focus, this is supposed to be an Improved camera from its predecessors. In Out-Doors with a Good Lighting with Rear Camera, the images came out to be sharper with good colors. The Bokeh effect though, kind of cool. Thanks to Lower-Aperture of F2.0, Coming is Indoors, in Artificial lighting it tends to suffer a lot, The Saturation levels increases automatically and gives a good photo, but noise levels are very high. Can’t really argue about that as it’s priced very economically priced. Outdoors with Front 5MP shooter is an Awesome experience just like other Redmi Series devices. Indoors are very much improved from previous devices, and again the F2.0 Aperture gives great output.

Given that it has powered by Mid-Range GPU, Adreno 505 managed to run some Intensive games, but there can be some minor Frame-drops with High settings. For most of the part, Redmi 4 delivers its best! Gaming experience is not the Extreme I could say, its High, And Again at this price point, take what you get! This is the best phone to surprise us in terms of gaming at this price point! We suggest this device to partial gamers, but if you are a heavy gamer, Trust me! You couldn’t get a phone at least at this price point of 7000.

With discussing all things, here we land at Battery! This phone is powered by 4100mAh battery. With moderate kind od usage, Well, it’s an hour of gameplay a day, with always on WiFi with push notifications from Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and hours of YouTubing I could easily run this device for 2 days on a Single Charge. Testing this battery was a nightmare actually. I used this phone for 22 days and I’ve just charged this device for 8 times. That’s great the Battery Backup is. For heavy users out there, you can easily run whole day and on the end of the day, around 30-40% of the battery will be left for you! I have got around 11 hours of screen on time. And that what I am talking about! Best in Class Battery backup!
